6 credits Students are required to follow a full-time teaching schedule in a State approved private or a public school setting five days per week for 15 weeks (over 500 hours) at two levels: Pre-kindergarten/Kindergarten and Grades 1-2. The first setting will cover the first seven weeks of the semester. The second setting will cover the last eight weeks of the semester. Students are evaluated Pass/Fail dependent on mastery and demonstration of criteria set forth in the early childhood education program and the New York Teaching Standards. Prerequisites: EDU 4106N, EDU 4160N, EDU 4162N, EDU 4149N, minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 and the student teaching placement card. Corequisite: EDU 4201N. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
