3 credits A continuation of EDU 3102N, which requires three half-days of field-work per week in grades K-2 for 9 hours per week (approximately 125 hours). In the accompanying seminar, the following will be covered (1) development of activity/lesson and unit plan utilizing the NYSSS for each of the three grade levels; (2) learning processes, motivation, and classroom management including student-teaching ethics; (3) successful implementation of strategies for dealing with multicultural and socioeconomically disadvantaged children. Prerequisites: EDU 3102N, EDU 3160N, and EDU 3146N. and a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5. Corequisites: EDU 4149N, EDU 4160N, and EDU 4161N. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
