3 credits This course is designed to teach students how to solve the financial challenges of a multinational firm or company that operates in a foreign economy. Specific topics of short-term cash management, transfer pric ing, and long-term financial management, including capital budgeting and capital structure in an international market are analyzed. Strategies that reduce firm's foreign exchange exposure will be analyzed. Assessing stock market and international portfolio opportunities and dealing with hyper inflationary currencies will also be discussed. Prerequisite: FIN 3087N or per mission of instructor.
