3 credits The primary purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge of how an information system implementation project may succeed when the area of human factors has been effectively addressed. In order to explore the relationship between human factors and informa tion system development, the topics discussed include: information sys tems acceptance and change; organizational culture and its effects upon information system use; and how to become an agent for change. Utilizing knowledge-based training methods, students will learn how to assess user needs to design business solutions. Prerequisite: CIS 2015A, CIS 2102N, and CIS 3300 or permission of instructor.
