3 credits An introduction to ballet through classroom study, with attention given to basic ballet vocabulary, body placement, stretching and strength ening exercises, rhythm, coordination, and balance. Video and live per formances will be used to develop a critical appreciation of the art form of ballet. The course will also include an historical overview. Prerequisite: DAN 1001A.
