3 credits The purpose of this course is to teach the literacy skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing to native English speakers and to students who are English language learners in grades 5-12. Emphasis is on meth ods of reading enrichment and remediation and strategies and materials that facilitate comprehension of content area textbooks. Prerequisites: EDU 3146N, EDU 4149N*. (*EDU 4149N is not a prerequisite for the secondary education or middle school certification students.) Offered: 2008 - 2010.
