3 credits This course includes a basic introduction to, and establishment of, a framework that will enable the student to relate concepts of law to the aviation industry. Topics that will be addressed are the history and philoso phy of law in general, and the history of aviation law in particular; intro duction to the American legal system, regulatory bodies and policy-mak ers, economic regulation of domestic aviation, deregulation, legal issues and airport regulation, enforcement and compliance, environmental law and the aviation industry, and a brief introduction to international air law. Prerequisite: AER 1002N. Offered: 2008 - 2010.
