Designed as a workshop to enable students to actively participate in creating and cultivating a teaching self. The professional role is a dual one involving both the creation of knowledge through research and the dissemination of that knowledge through teaching. Designed to acquaint students with some of the major educational and professional issues associated with college and university teaching. May not be taken for credit by students who have received credit for SOC 685B.
