Examination of "otherness" in Hispanic literaturethrough the study of works written by individuals who explicitly or implicitly identify themselves as part of a group defined by its gender or sexuality. Works of female, gay, and lesbian authors will be studied in conjunction with pertinent theoretical frameworks. Conducted in Spanish. Enrollment restricted to students with graduate standing in Spanish.
