Introduction to the components of health assessment, therapeutic communication, and interview techniques with an emphasis on cultural and community variables. Introduces the student to the role of the nurse as teacher and health promoter. Enrollment Requirement: All Pre-Nursing Core courses, and PSYC 210 or SOC 204. Corequisites: NURS 200, 201, and 211. Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of the Director of the School of Nursing.
