Clinical decision making in a variety of patient care situations and case scenarios with emphasis on utilization of the steps of the nursing care process. Reviews the essentials of assessment, nursing diagnosis, goal setting, implementation and evaluation in multiple health deviations and across the life span. Assessment of the student's basic nursing knowledge will be performed using a standardized nursing examination. Corequisite: NURS 442. Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of the Director of the School of Nursing.
