Examines the experiences of Jews in various parts of the world by focusing on the lives of women, using several historical case studies. Also covers important themes and changes affecting Jewish history, such as religious tradition, emancipation, assimilation, anti- Semitism, immigration, Zionism, the Holocaust and feminism.
