Provides a foundation in biomedical research and effective communication practices for students preparing for biomedical research careers. Integrates disciplinary approaches to biomedical research around fundamental principles and practices of scientific method, research ethics and responsible conduct, and the organization of scientific inquiry in institutions of higher learning. Subject matter will change each semester. May not be taken for credit by students who have received credit for BIOL 396F. May be repeated for a total of eight (8) units. Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of instructor.
