Course in seminar/workshop format concentrating on the literature for solo voice, both classical and popular (musical theater, jazz, gospel); but also including ensemble repertory from opera and musical theater. Singers are coached in performance technique and interpretation, while working with an accompanist to prepare the semester's repertoire. May be taken 6 times. Students must be concurrently taking individual lessons in voice. prereq: ENGL 120 coreq: MU-P 401 or 431 2 hrs, 1 cr.
