Laboratory introduction to machine-aided computation with an emphasis on examples related to calculus. Students use a symbolic computation package to investigate and solve problems numerically, analytically and graphically. The same package is used to create reports of their results. Some previous experience with computers is desirable but not required. pre- or coreq: MATH 150 2 hrs, 1 cr.
