May be applied to the major once. Designed to meet the needs and interests of individual students under the direction of a particular instructor at a more advanced level than PSYC 201. Such study may involve independent reading, tutorials, independent research projects, or participation in ongoing faculty research, any of these culminating in an APA-style research report or literature review. Field Placements (internships) cannot be granted credit as PSYC 395; however, supervised Field Placement taken in conjunction with PSYC 361 ( Psychological Tests) will be granted credit as PSYC 395. prereqs: PSYC 249 or 250, perm instr. 3 hrs, 3 cr.
