GEP/GFR: Meets AH. Post-Renaissance theatre through the rise of realism and naturalism to the grounds of modern theatre practice. The course relates dramatic literature to emerging ideas of acting, directing, stage design, as well as new forms of theatre architecture and new concepts of performance. As in THTR 210, tendencies in the theatre are examined in view of the changing social and cultural scene. Prerequisites: THTR 120 or THTR 202 or THTR 210 or instructor consent. Notes: Required for all theatre majors.
