Topics include: function of symptoms (fever, nausea, etc.); strategies of pathogens; senescence; cancer; phylogenetic constraints; mental disorders. Ideas will be actively discussed in class. Prerequisites: lower level course in Biology or Biological Anthropology, junior/senior standing or instructor's consent.
