Introduction to polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions. Applications involving simple geometric objects. Emphasizes algebraic problem solving skills. Prerequisites/placement: Successful comple- tion of MATH 120 (C, CR, or higher) or minimum COMPASS algebra score of 55, or college algebra score of 33, or math ACT score of 22, or math SAT score of 510.
