Techniques for the visual presentation of numerical data, descriptive statistics, introduction to probability and basic probability models used in statistics, introduction to sampling and statistical inference, illustrated by examples from a variety of fields. Prerequisites/placement: Successful completion of MATH 120 (C, CR or higher) or higher math course, or minimum algebra COMPASS score of 55, or math ACT score of 22, or math SAT score of 510.
