Prereq. CM 212 completed or concurrent; ED 116 completed or concurrent; PED 150 or PSY 110 - Drawing from a variety of instructional models, the student develops her analytic and collaborative abilities through the examination and practice of the principles of teaching, learning, and assessing in relation to PK-12 learners. Major areas of study include the planning and implementation of differentiated instruction that flows from relevant standards, creation of classroom environments that are inviting and challenging, and the importance of integrating technology in the classroom. Emphasis is placed on developing teacher professionalism.
