Description:

- This course reviews writing strategies and offers practice with composing processes as required for the graduate licensure student. It focuses primarily on the types of writing needed by new teachers in their work settings and includes both impromptu and planned writing tasks. Grammar concepts are integrated into each lesson. The student uses a handbook as a resource for grammar; drafting, composing, and revising processes; doing research; and citing sources. The course is conducted as a workshop with the student doing, and sometimes finishing, written assignments during class time.
