- These courses introduce the student to basic movement concepts using the vocabulary of modern dance technique. She focuses on understanding principles of dynamic alignment, increasing flexibility, building strength, exploring a range of movement qualities, and increasing spatial awareness. The goals are to develop an understanding of and appreciation for individual movement preferences, habits, and styles, and to expand and refine movement skills according to one's own personal and professional goals.
