CIT 200; CM 156Q - In this course, the student studies networking terminology and protocols, network standards, LANs, WANs, the OSI reference model, cabling, cabling tools, routers, router programming topologies, and IP addressing. She analyzes an existing network to understand its design, purpose, and problems associated with the design. She also investigates professions associated with the network's creation and maintenance. This course includes hands-on labs, lecture, and student research.
