Prereq. N 370; N 375; concurrent with N 455 or within one semester of completion - The focus of this course is on developing the student's abilities to work with individuals, families, groups, and communities to improve the health of vulnerable populations through health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention activities. Using multiple theories and advancing self-assessment skills, the student refines her abilities in designing, managing, and coordinating care for vulnerable populations through diverse class activities and the design and implementation of a health promotion program or a health fair for a selected community.
