- The student concentrates on the concepts and theoretical basis for the use of music as a therapeutic tool in achieving and maintaining physical and mental health. In classroom and lab settings, she views the scope of the profession as she identifies clinical settings where music therapists are employed. She develops the ability to articulate her knowledge and skills specific to the profession and to cite sources of published journals and research specific to music therapy. (Nonmajors welcome)
