Prereq. No previous Spanish coursework - In this introductory course, the student begins to communicate in the Spanish language and learn about Spanish cultures. She organizes select elementary structural functions and vocabulary patterns and integrates them in order to begin to communicate meaningfully and clearly in basic Spanish. She develops a basic functional foundation for proficiency, learning through the systematic practice of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
