This course addresses the topics of self-determination and happiness within the theoretical area of psychology referred to as "positive psychology." Students exploreissues such as how managing the quality of one's emotional life is a foundation for self-determination. Traditional developmental and personality theories are integrated with positive psychology strategies to support efforts to apply the theoretical and empirical models of self-determination and happiness to their own lives.
