Examines the ethical-normative nature of the use of such terms as "disease," "health," "normality," and "treatment" as they are applied in modern mental health care. Discusses how evaluation of practices in the mental health field will determine the ethical consequences of the moral standing, rights and quality of life of the mentally ill patient. Suggested for students pursuing careers (present or future) in the areas of psychology, nursing, social services, pastoral counseling, law and law enforcement, medicine, and social justice.
