Focuses on the survey of health across the disciplines. Examines the historical, political, ethical and legal dimensions of health. Emphasis is placed on theoretical and philosophical foundations of health professions. Explores the importance of individuality in defining health. Prerequisite: sophomore status, completion of CHM/CHL 121 & CHM/CHL 122, BIO/BIL 330 and BIO/BIL 331 with a G.P.A. of 2.5. (NUR 212 is open to non-nursing majors and basic nursing students.) Students may register for this course prior to admission into the nursing major.
