Focuses on role transition and professional nursing development. Assists with study skills, development of self-directed learning, and understanding of academic support system. Builds on the mastery of skills previously learned in the 75 hour state-tested Nursing Assistant Program. Working with the instructor, emphasis is placed on the provision of holistic care to individual clients. Students will use the learning laboratory experiences to provide a foundation for the delivery of basic health care. Prerequisites: Completion of CHM/CHL 121 & CHM/CHL 122, BIO/BIL 330 and BIO/BIL 331 with a G.P.A. of 2.5.
