(3 cr hrs) Explores the natural environment of the British Isles with respect to human habitation over time. Special attention is given to migration and regional settlement patterns of the Britons, Gaels, Romans, Saxons, Angles, Jutes, Frisians, Vikings, and Normans and their contributions to the formation of the ethnic groups of the isles. Further exploration is given to patterns of ethnic migrations to New World. Alternate years.
