2 hours Prerequisites: NURS 305 and acceptance into the Nursing major Continued exploration of clinical drug therapy with emphasis on the knowledge and interventions needed to maximize therapeutic effects and prevent or minimize adverse effects of drugs. Major areas of study include groups of therapeutic drugs, their application in diseaseprocess management, and their effects. Legal and professional issues surrounding the safe administration of medications are discussed. Human responses to drug therapy and application of the nursing process in relation to prescribed drug therapy regimens are discussed.
