(3 hours.). During this course students will analyze the theories, processes and structures to become effective supervisors within a wide variety of organizations. Topics of study include theories of leadership, leadership/supervisory challenges, functions of the leader/ supervisor, and skills of the leader/supervisor. Additional emphasis is placed upon the importance of life-long lerning and the development of leadership skills in the workplace to include such skills as ethics, teamwork, diversity, goals, change, conflict, communication, motivation, leadership, organization, problem solving and decision making.
