4 semester hours (3 hours of theory per week) The student will analyze the effectiveness of his/her own professional nurse caring behaviors in provision of holistic health care to adults. Various health care systems and health problems of individuals, families, groups and communities of diverse cultures will be evaluated. The focus will be collaboration with professional multidisciplinary health teams. The effectiveness of therapeutic nursing interventions will be evaluated. Application of critical thinking skills to the nursing process will enable the student to act as a change agent in various complex clinical situations. Prerequisite: All 100- 200- and 300-level nursing courses. NS 430, NS 431, NS 440 and NS 441. Co-requisites: NS 410 and NS 465.
