2 semester hours (2 hours theory per week) Designed to teach students selected medical terms commonly encountered in the profession of physical therapy. Students learn word construction, root words, prefixes and suffixes and the origin of medical terms. Students will also learn current systems of medical documentation of patient care as used in the profession of physical therapy. Prerequisite: Admission into the PTA Program.
