3 hours. This course is designed to introduce the undergraduate nursing student to the transition of patient care from the institution to the home. The role of the home health nurse is analyzed in relation to health promotion, health restoration and disease prevention in providing care in the home setting. Through utilization of nursing process, an emphasis is placed on nursing care and services using levels of health care and levels of prevention.
