4 cr hrs Prerequisite(s): Completion of all other major area courses Not open to students with credit for PSMT/TMGT 495 This advanced course in Business Strategy serves as the capstone experience for the Applied Management and Public Safety Management programs Through the use of analytical assessment tools and creative design activities, students will develop a proposal to address a significant original problem or opportunity in their field of expertise Proposed initiatives will be evaluated by faculty on the basis of their viability and potential sustainability over time The role of organizational change, managerial decision making, basic accounting and fiscal management principles, and effective managerial problem identification and solving techniques will be demonstrated by students and assessed by faculty
