The goal of the course is to train the students in the techniques of reading, interpreting and evaluating literature. An equal amount of time (approximately four weeks) is devoted to short prose fiction, drama and poetry. Short compositions in German throughout the semester constitute an essential element of the course. Conducted in German. Prerequisite: 213 or 214 or 250 or consent.(4 credits)
