This course is designed to emphasize the effects of man on the environment as well as himself. Basic concepts include a brief introduction on ecosystems, different categories and sources of pollutants, and the specific effects each pollutant has on living organisms and habitat. Field trips to various environmentally stressed locations are required. Three (3) hours of lecture and one (1) three (3) hour laboratory per week. Prerequisites: BIO 11 and 11 2.
