This course is the study of organic compounds and their reactions. Topics include: aliphatic compounds, nomenclature, synthesis, stereochemistry, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, and nucleophilic substitution vs. elimination reaction mechanisms. Three (3) hours of lecture and one (1) three (3) hour laboratory per week. Prerequisites: CHEM 111 and CHEM 11 2.
