This course is a broad background in the theory and methodology of archaeology with emphasis on the New World. The course will include lectures, videos, field analysis, and actual and/or virtual fieldwork. The student will be exposed to archaeological techniques and will have the opportunity to apply this knowledge while excavating an area site. Prerequisite: ANTH 210 or consent of the instructor.
