An overview of the radiologic technology profession, its history, and the criteria for success in the profession. Basic introduction to the effects of radiation, radiation monitoring and protection for personnel and patients, and radiographic imaging. Study of patient assessment and basic nursing skills necessary to provide for patients' physical and emotional needs, including safety procedures used during radiographic examinations. Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisite: Admission into major. SP.
