A study of the theoretical principles and practical operation of modern chemical instrumentation. Understanding is reinforced by performing chemical analysis using a variety of laboratory instruments. A critical comparison of methods is involved. Instruction will include the instrumentation for spectroscopy, separations, and computerized data acquisition and analysis. This is a Communication Intensive course. Prerequisites: CH 221, PH 231, 232. SP, intermittently.
