Lec 1. For students interested in a career in a clinical laboratory science/ medical technology. BIOS 160 will not count toward a major in biological sciences. Introduces the pre-clinical laboratory scientist/medical technologist to the profession of clinical laboratory science. Includes lessons in ethics, organization of the medical team, professionalism, automation, medical terminology, hematology, blood bank, clinical chemistry, and medical microbiology.
