Lec 1, lab 4. Prereq: ARCH 311, 332, 333, 334, 460. Parallel: ARCH 410. Integrative study of structural, building technology, and environmental technology systems in a building within the context of ARCH 410: Architectural Design, Tectonics. Emphasis on the role structural, mechanical systems, and assemblages play in the evolution of an architectural design project. Students illustrate an understanding of the principles which underlie each of the technical systems and demonstrate the ability to apply those principles to the design project.
