A survey of the field of immunology including the types of immune responses, antibody synthesis, antigen antibody interactions, hypersensitivity, immunity to infection, and the design of laboratory techniques for immunological screening. Only offered spring semester. Prerequisite: BIOL 2401 or BIOL 3431. Corequisite: BIOL 4517, unless previously taken (Medical Technology Majors do not need concurrent enrollment in BIOL 4517) .
