Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour; laboratory, one hour. Covers statistical techniques used to describe and make generalizations about phenomena represented by data. Hands-on experience in data analysis and interpretation using statistical software (SPSS, STATA) is emphasized. Topics include data visualization, ANOVA, multiple regression, and categorical data analyses. Prerequisite: Social Ecology 13 or equivalent.
