Basic methods for classical PDEs (potential, heat, and wave equations). 112A: Classification of PDEs, separation of variables and series expansions, special functions, eigenvalue problems. 112B: Green functions and integral representations, method of characteristics. 112C: Galerkin method and other discretization techniques. Prerequisites for 112A: Mathematics 2D, 3D; for 112B: 2E and 112A.
