Discussion, one hour; laboratory, six hours. Practical aspects of important methods in analytical chemistry. Laboratory analysis of standard samples. Laboratory experiments include methods of gravimetry, titrimetry, chromatography and other separation methods, spectrochemical and electrochemical measurements. The use of computer programs for the reduction of data from laboratory experiments is encouraged. Corequisite: Chemistry 151. Prerequisites: Chemistry 1A-B-C, 1LB-LC; 5; 51A-B-C and 51LA-LB-LC or H52A-B-C and H52LA-LB-LC.
